We have been in operation since 1995, offering a range of accredited training and non-accredited (enrichment) training opportunities as well as supporting learning in partnership with the NWRC, Strabane and Derry campuses. We are an OCN (Open College Network) accredited Centre and have a Team of highly-qualified, experienced training staff who ensure the integrity of all that we do. Practical hands-on training also takes place daily in our social enterprise Strabane Garden Centre. Here, our trainees can receive training and real-life experience in a ‘sheltered’ environment – delivering services to the pubic while working alongside our own staff.

Accredited Training

Qualifications on offer to build capacity and skills for Community opportunities  / engagement / personal development and possible employment are the New Horizons Partnership Ltd. – devised OCNni ‘Independent Travel ’ Programme and OCNni – accredited ‘New Hop Skills for Work’ Programme.

In addition, New Horizons Partnership Ltd. develops and delivers a range of OCNni accredited Life Skills and Personal Development training (to complement vocational training and job preparation programmes) – to our own referred clients; as well as delivering to Schools, Colleges and other organisations (bespoke training).

Training timetables are informed by our students’ PCP (person centred plans) and are collated by the T&CS Manager and her Team for the academic year: September – June.

Each year our students receive their Certificates to add to their Records of Achievement at our ‘Celebration of Success’ Ceremony.
